The 2012 Architect of the Year Awards will celebrate the best British architects and regonise practices and projects across 13 categories as well as the return of the following specialist awards:
- Autodesk Young Architect of the Year Award
- The Schueco Gold Award –the best of the best award
This year the awards will take place on the 4th December at The Brewery, London. The awards are now nine years old and with each one, the range and quality of the entries has increased. The AYAs are distinguished from other architectural awards by virtue of the fact that they honour a body of work within a particular sector. That provides a truly meaningful premise on which to compare the achievements of different architects.
